Our Falls Prevention Awareness free online course will introduce you to the impact and consequences of falls. In the UK, each day, around 8,500 people aged 65 or over will fall and this number increases for those aged 80 or over, to around 1 in 2 people. This course will provide you with an awareness of the risks and hazards contributing to falls and how to reduce the risks. You will learn about recording and reporting falls.

You will develop your understanding of falls prevention awareness and is an ideal course for those working or wanting to work in health and social care or have contact with older people who are more at risk of falls. Did you know, that currently 11.9 million people are aged 65 or over in the UK, and in which an estimated 1 in 3 people will fall each year?
